Today, we proudly celebrate 265 young graduates from the NSRI Survival Swimming and Drowning Prevention Programme—an incredible milestone made possible through John Dory’s Beyond the Shore initiative.

Through this partnership, children who would not ordinarily have access to swimming lessons receive crucial water‑safety education, survival swimming skills, and the confidence needed to stay safe in and around water. What begins as a fear of the water often transforms into joy, resilience, and a newfound sense of achievement. Many of these children have progressed from clinging to the pool edge to confidently moving through the water, diving, floating, and—most importantly—having fun safely.

Beyond being a recreational skill, swimming is a lifesaving tool. It builds discipline, courage, and awareness—qualities that protect children in high-risk environments and empower them far beyond the shoreline.

To celebrate their achievement, each graduate received a special John Dory’s branded towel, followed by a delicious John Dory’s meal enjoyed together—a moment of pride for the children, parents, instructors, and the broader community cheering them on.

Did you know?
R1 from every John Dory’s Double Hake & Chips meal is donated to the Beyond the Shore initiative—helping more children access lifesaving water-safety education.

Together, we are creating safer communities, confident young swimmers, and brighter futures—one child, one lesson, one life saved at a time.
